You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

Various personal data is collected when you use this website. Personal data is data with which you can be personally identified. This Privacy Policy explains what date we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this is done.

We would like to point out that data transmission on the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) may have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Notice on the data controller

The data controller responsible for processing data on this website is:

Limited partnership Kelheim
Heidolph Instruments GmbH & Co. KG
Ludwigsplatz 8
93309 Kelheim

Regensburg District Court HRA 5845
Personally liable partner:
Heidolph Instruments Verw. GmbH – Kelheim
Regensburg District Court HRB 6840

Phone: +49-(0)-9122-9920-0
Email: sales@heidolph.de

The data controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data (e.g. names, email addresses, etc.).

Retention period

Unless a specific retention period is specified in this Privacy Policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for data processing no longer applies. If you make a legitimate request for erasure or revoke your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have any other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g. tax or commercial law retention periods); in the latter case, the data will be erased once these reasons have ceased to exist.

General information on the legal basis for data processing on this website

If you have consented to data processing, we process your personal data on the basis of Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR, or Article 9 (2) (a) GDPR, if special categories of data according to Article 9 (1) GDPR are processed. In the event of express consent to the transfer of personal data to third countries, data processing is also based on Article 49 (1) (a) GDPR. If you have consented to the storage of cookies or to accessing information on your end device (e.g. via device fingerprinting), then data will also be processed on the basis of Section 25 (1) of the German Telecommunications and Telemedia Data Protection Act (TTDSG). Consent can be revoked at any time. If your data is required to fulfil the contract or to carry out pre-contractual measures, then we process your data on the basis of Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR. Furthermore, we process your data if it is required to fulfil a legal obligation on the basis of Article 6 (1) (c) GDPR. The data processing can also be based on our legitimate interest according to Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The following paragraphs of this Privacy Policy provide information on the relevant legal bases in each individual case.

Note on data transfer to the USA and other third countries

Among other things, we use tools from companies based in the USA or other third countries that are not secure under data protection laws. When these tools are active, your personal data can be transferred to these third countries and processed there.

Furthermore, we may transfer personal data to third countries. However, such transmission will only take place with your express consent.

We would like to point out that in these countries, no level of data protection comparable to that in the EU can be guaranteed. For example, US companies are obliged to hand over personal data to security authorities without you, as the data subject, being able to take legal action against this. It cannot therefore be ruled out that your data will be processed, evaluated and permanently stored by official bodies. We have no influence over these processing activities.

Revocation of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke consent that you have already given at any time. To do so, an informal message sent to us by email is sufficient. The legality of the data processing that took place up until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to object to the collection of data in special cases and to direct advertising (Article 21 GDPR)

If the data is processed on the basis of Article 6 (1) (e) or (f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for reasons arising from your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. The respective legal basis on which processing is based can be found in this Privacy Policy. If you lodge an objection, we will no longer process your affected personal data unless we can prove compelling legitimate reasons for the processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims (objection in accordance with Article 21 (1) GDPR). If your personal data is processed in order to operate direct advertising, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for the purpose of such advertising; this also applies to profiling insofar as it is associated with such direct advertising. If you object, your personal data will then no longer be used for the purpose of direct advertising (objection in accordance with Article 21 (2) GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

In the event of violations of data protection law, the person concerned has the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority for matters related to data protection legislation is the state data protection officer of the federal state in which our company is based. A list of data protection officers and their contact details can be found at the following link: https://www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Infothek/Anschriften_Links/anschriften_links-node.html.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process based on your consent or in fulfilment of a contract delivered to you or a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of data to another data controller, this will only be done to the extent that it is technically feasible.

Information, blocking, erasure

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient and the purpose of the data processing and, if applicable, a right to have this data corrected, blocked or erased at any time. You can contact us at any time about this and any other questions you may have on the subject of personal data.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted. You can contact us at any time to do this. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored with us, we usually need time to verify this. During the verification period, you have the right to demand that the processing of your personal data be restricted.
  • If the processing of your personal data happened or is happening unlawfully, you may request the restriction of data processing instead of erasure.
  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you have the right to request restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of erasure.
  • If you have lodged an objection in accordance with Article 21 (1) GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted.

Where you have had the processing of your personal data restricted, such data – apart from being stored – may only be processed with your consent, or to assert, exercise or defend legal claims, or to protect the rights of another natural or legal person, or on the grounds of an important public interest of the European Union or a member state.

SSL or TLS encryptions

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as enquiries you send to us as the site operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

4. Data collection on our website

Cookies

Some of our web pages use "cookies". Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files, which are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are "session cookies". They are automatically deleted after your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser the next time you visit us.

You can configure your browser to inform you about the use of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, refuse to accept cookies in certain cases or in general, and automatically delete cookies when the browser is closed. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

Cookies that are necessary to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain features you desire (e.g. watchlist feature) are stored on the basis of Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies to ensure the error-free and optimised provision of its services. If other cookies (such as those used to analyse your browsing behaviour) are also stored, they will be treated separately in this Privacy Policy.

You can revoke the consent to the listed cookies and tracking tools at any time with future effect by clicking on the following link and changing your current preferences in our Cookie Consent: Cookie Consent

Server log files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information in "server log files", which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not combined with data from other sources.

This data is collected on the basis of Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free display and optimisation of its website; the server log files must be stored for this purpose.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, we will store your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you have provided there, for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions.

This data is processed on the basis of Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR, provided that your enquiry is related to the fulfilment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of enquiries addressed to us (Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or on your consent (Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR) if this was requested; consent can be revoked at any time. To do so, an informal message sent to us by email is sufficient. The legality of the data processing operations that took place up until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

This data may be transmitted to companies affiliated with us (e.g. traders) within the EU or the EEA and to third countries. Your data will only be transmitted to fulfil a contract or to carry out pre-contractual measures (Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR) or to effectively process enquiries addressed to us (Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR). If data is transferred to a third country for which there is no adequacy decision by the European Commission pursuant to Article 45 (1) GDPR, there are suitable guarantees in accordance with Article 46 (2) GDPR.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you ask us to erase it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. The mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Warranty registration

On our website, you have the option of registering a warranty for your devices. We use the data entered for this purpose for warranty and service purposes. The mandatory information requested during registration must be provided in full. Otherwise, we will reject the registration.

The data entered during registration is processed on the basis of your consent (Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can revoke your consent at any time. To do so, an informal message sent to us by email is sufficient. The legality of the data processing that has already taken place remains unaffected by the revocation.

We will store the data collected during registration for the duration of the warranty, and if an active business relationship exists beyond that, until the end of this business relationship. If there is no active business relationship, your data will be deleted after a period of 3 months after the end of the warranty. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

Enquiry by email, telephone or fax

If you contact us by email, telephone or fax, we will store and process your enquiry, including all resulting personal data (name, enquiry), for the purpose of processing your request.

We will retain the data you provide to us until you ask us to erase it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). The mandatory legal provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

5. Analytics and advertising

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses "cookies". These are text files which are stored on your computer and allow your use of the website to be analysed. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Google Analytics cookies are stored on the basis of Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising.

IP anonymisation

We have activated the IP anonymisation function on this website. As a result, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before it is transmitted to the USA. In exceptional cases only, the full IP address will be sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to analyse your use of the website, compile reports regarding website activity, and provide other services to the website operator related to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with any other Google data.

Browser plugin

You can prevent cookies from being stored by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser; however, we would like to point out that by doing so, you may not be able to enjoy the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by cookies related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Objection to data collection

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent your data from being collected on future visits to this website: Disable Google Analytics.

You can find more information on how Google Analytics handles user data in Google's Privacy Policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

Contract data processing

We have entered into a contract with Google to outsource our data processing and have fully implemented the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Demographic characteristics on Google Analytics

This site uses the "demographic characteristics" feature of Google Analytics. This allows reports to be generated containing statements about the age, gender and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google and visitor data from third-party providers. This data cannot be attributed to a specific person. You can disable this feature at any time via the ad settings in your Google account or you can generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the "Objection to data collection" section.

Google Analytics Remarketing

Our websites use the functions of Google Analytics Remarketing in conjunction with the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

This function enables the advertising target groups created with Google Analytics Remarketing to be linked to the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. In this way, interest-based, personalised advertising messages adapted to you on a device (e.g. mobile phone) depending on your previous usage and browsing behaviour can also be displayed on another of your end devices (e.g. tablet or PC).

If you have given your consent, Google will link your web and app browser history to your Google account for this purpose. In this way, the same personalised advertising messages can be displayed on every device on which you log in with your Google account.

To support this function, Google Analytics collects Google-authenticated user IDs, which are temporarily linked to our Google Analytics data in order to define and create target groups for cross-device advertising.

You can permanently object to cross-device remarketing/targeting by disabling personalised advertising in your Google account by following this link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/.

The aggregation of the data collected in your Google account data is based solely on your consent, which you can give to or revoke from Google (Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR). For data collection operations not merged in your Google account (for example, because you do not have a Google account or have objected to the merge), the collection of data is based on Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The legitimate interest arises from the fact that the website operator has an interest in the anonymous analysis of website visitors for advertising purposes.

Further information and the data protection regulations can be found in Google's Privacy Policy at: https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/.

Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising program from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States ("Google").

As part of Google AdWords, we use so-called conversion tracking. When you click on an ad served by Google, a conversion tracking cookie is set. Cookies are small text files that your internet browser stores on your computer. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification of the user. Should the user visit certain pages of the website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the website can tell that the user clicked on the ad and proceeded to that page.

Each Google AdWords advertiser has a different cookie. Thus, cookies cannot be tracked using the website of an AdWords advertiser. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for the AdWords advertisers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers are told the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a conversion tracking tag page. However, advertisers do not obtain any information that can be used to personally identify users. If you do not want to participate in tracking, you can opt-out of this by easily disabling the Google Conversion Tracking cookie by changing your browser settings. In doing so, you will not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.

Conversion cookies are stored based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior to optimize both its website and its advertising.

For more information about Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking, see the Google Privacy Policy: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/.

You can configure your browser to inform you about the use of cookies so that you can decide on a case-by-case basis whether to accept or reject a cookie. Alternatively, your browser can be configured to automatically accept cookies under certain conditions or to always reject them, or to automatically delete cookies when closing your browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising program from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States ("Google").

As part of Google AdWords, we use "conversion tracking". When you click on an ad served by Google, a conversion tracking cookie is set. Cookies are small text files which internet browsers store on the user's computer. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used to personally identify users. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognise that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page.

Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. The cookies cannot be tracked through AdWords advertisers' websites. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers find out the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you may refuse by simply disabling the Google conversion tracking cookie via your internet browser user settings. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.

"Conversion cookies" are stored on the basis of Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising.

For more information about Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking, see Google's Privacy Policy: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/.

You can configure your browser to inform you about the use of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, refuse to accept cookies in certain cases or in general, and automatically delete cookies when the browser is closed. Disabling cookies may limit your ability to use some of the functions of this website.

Google reCAPTCHA

We use "Google reCAPTCHA" (hereinafter "reCAPTCHA") on our websites. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google").

reCAPTCHA is used to check whether the data entered on our website (such as on a contact form) has been entered by a human or by an automated program. To do this, reCAPTCHA analyses the website visitor's behaviour based on various characteristics. This analysis starts automatically as soon as the website visitor accesses the website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, how long the visitor spends on the website, or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis is forwarded to Google.

The reCAPTCHA analyses run entirely in the background. Website visitors are not informed that analysis is taking place.

The data processing takes place on the basis of Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its websites against abusive automated spying and spam.

Further information about Google reCAPTCHA and Google's Privacy Policy can be found at the following links: https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/ and https://www.google.com/recaptcha/intro/android.html.

Google Signals

Based on our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our online offer within the meaning of Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR), we use the web analysis service Google Signals. With Signals, Google provides reports on the number of users across devices, as well as on different groups of users, which are based on different device combinations used. For this purpose, Google uses the data of users who have enabled the "personalised advertising" option in their Google account settings. Google Signals is only used with activated IP anonymisation. This means that the IP address of users within the member states of the EU and the European Economic Area is shortened. This shortening eliminates the personal reference to your IP address. This means that no conclusions can be drawn about the identity of an individual user. You can object to the collection by Google Signals at any time by disabling "personalised advertising" in your Google account: https://support.google.com/ads/answer/2662922?hl=de
Additional information about how Google handles your personal data in its advertising network can be found here: Advertising and data protection.

Facebook Pixel

Our website uses the visitor action pixel from Facebook, Facebook Inc, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, U.S.A. ("Facebook") to measure conversion.

This allows the behaviour of site visitors to be tracked after they have been redirected to the provider's website by clicking on a Facebook ad. As a result, the effectiveness of Facebook advertisements can be evaluated for statistical and market research purposes and future advertising measures can be optimised.

The data collected is anonymous to us as the operator of this website; we cannot draw any conclusions about the user's identity. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with the Facebook data usage guidelines. This enables Facebook to place advertisements on Facebook pages and outside of Facebook. This use of the data cannot be influenced by us as the site operator.

You will find further information on protecting your privacy in Facebook's Privacy Policy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

You can also disable the "Custom Audiences" remarketing feature in the Ads Settings section at https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen. To do this, you must be logged in to Facebook.

If you do not have a Facebook account, you can opt out of Facebook's usage-based advertising on the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance website: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/.

Analysis by wiredminds

Our website uses the tracking pixel technology of wiredminds GmbH (www.wiredminds.de) to analyse visitor behaviour. Data may thereby be collected, processed and stored, and used to create usage profiles under a pseudonym. Where possible and practical, these usage profiles are completely anonymised. Cookies may be used for this purpose. Cookies are small text files that are stored in the visitor's internet browser and serve to recognise the browser. The data collected, which may also include personal data, is transmitted to wiredminds or collected directly by wiredminds. wiredminds may use information left by visits to the website to create anonymous usage profiles. The data obtained in this way will not be used to personally identify the visitor to this website without the separate consent of the data subject and will not be combined with personal data relating to the bearer of the pseudonym. If IP addresses are recorded, they are anonymised immediately by deleting the last block of numbers.

Exclude from tracking.
